WINDOWS NO. 2 - handwoven tapestry, 2016

I first became obsessed with x-rays just after I finished my Diploma of Woven Tapestry in 2015 - I was sitting on the floor of my in-laws' house, looking at their x-rays, and marvelling at how beautiful they were.

My first x-ray tapestry was Windows No. 1, from 2015 - this one was based on my partner's x-ray, and ended up (controversially) winning the 2016 Port Pirie Art Prize!

It was sold years ago, but still has a special place in my heart, as it started my fascination, which is still very much in place today.
